New Band

Adele seems to be getting a lot of help from Radio 1 and the Independent Radio Stations, so we thought we'd try to do our "bit" to help a new up and coming band from London:

Have a listen to 3 of their songs and vote for them.  We were pretty impressed and remember where you heard them first!

According to BBC's "Watchdog", some batteries have exploded and if it wasn't for "smoke alarms" going off, the result could have been devastating.

I've just checked my 6230 and it's OK, but I won't be charging my phone overnight again!

Top Of The Pops:

On Sunday 30th July 2006, Top Of The Pops is broadcast on BBC2 at 19:00 (7 pm) for the last time.

We think this is a shame, particularly when a Parliamentary Statement in March 2005 by Tessa Jowell on the future of the BBC states that the BBC should NOT chase ratings.  Why else is this unique programme (to the BBC) being scrapped?

What was the name of the group whose video was all cardboard cars and roads and the words were (all the colours of the world you're beautiful wont you come with me)?

How about "Point Of View" by DB BOULEVARD.  This entered the charts at number 3 on 17th February 2002 and remained in the charts until 13th April 2002.

Denise Simpson says:

James Blunt makes me go GREEN every time I hear that song!  He pinched it from the closing credits of "The Incredible Hulk" and I think the Hulk is grabbing him somewhere he shouldn't when he attempts to reach the high notes!  Trouble is the 'Pups' and 'Kittens' of today don't know what was on the tv in the late 70s and early 80s!

Christopher Davidson asks:

did dr. hook ever chart with (if i said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me) in the UK

________________________________________________________________________________

replies:

"If I Said You Have A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" entered the charts on 11th August 1979 for the BELLAMY BROTHERS.  Highest Position:  3, Weeks In Chart: 14.

"When You're In Love With A Beautiful Woman" entered the charts on 22nd September 1979 for DR HOOK.  Highest Position:  1, Weeks In Chart: 17.

So in answer to your question, Dr Hook did NOT ever chart in the UK with "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me"
